About Lianna
Lianna Purjes, MSEd, MSW, LCSW has a Masters degrees in Clinical Social Work and Special Education. Lianna worked as a teacher in NYC public schools for 8 years before going back to school for social work.
Lianna has worked with toddlers, young children, pre-teens, adolescents, and adults. She has worked in residential facilities, K-12 schools, universities, outpatient clinics, and now works in private practice.
In her practice, Lianna works with people impacted by trauma and/or addiction, as well as individuals with other mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression. She has training in Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, EMDR, substance use disorders, problem gambling, and psychodynamic therapy.
*Please note that I am only able to provide supervision to pre-licensed counselors (LPCC working toward LPC) and social workers (SWC/LSW working toward LCSW) in Colorado.
