The Seven Principles Workshop for Couples is based on the internationally acclaimed research of Dr. John Gottman as presented in his New York Times bestselling book – The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. This educational workshop is designed to help couples improve their friendship and conflict management skills.
Relationships are hard work. We all know that. The majority of our entertainment (love songs, movies, jokes) are based on that exact reality.
The issues in a relationship often get amplified when people have different ways of thinking, communicating, and perceiving the world around them.
I see this EVERY DAY in my work with neurodiverse couples. Whether you’re both autistic, have ADHD, or have different neurotypes, it can feel like you’re speaking completely different languages.
And I see it in my own marriage too. Sometimes I feel like I’m talking about apples, and he’s talking about robot elephants wearing polka dot hats. 🙄
This often leads to lots of arguments both of you feeling disconnected from each other.
The good news is you can take control with research-backed strategies to prevent fights and strengthen your relationship!
As an experienced therapist and educator, I want you to know you're in good hands.
Here's how the workshop goes...
Bite-sized lessons on the skills
Video demos of couples using the strategies
Examples of what not to do
You practicing the skill with your partner
Questions & Answers
And no need to talk about your issues with other people. You practice with your partner and only your partner!

-
That's totally fine! Everything you talk about with your partner is private.
-
Unfortunately, no. Because this workshop involves time for you to interact with your partner, you wouldn't get much out of it coming on your own.
-
Nope! This is an educational workshop designed for couples who are in a good place overall and want to make their relationship even stronger. Although Lianna is a licensed therapist, this workshop is NOT therapy.
